- Prior to my ownership, the rear clamshell was damaged (minor); it was repaired to a very high standard (see photos).
- During my ownership (second owner), the front clamshell was damaged; it was repaired to a very high standard (see photos). There was minor (superficial) damage to the front crash structure, which was also repaired. The body and paint work was done by a well-known body shop in Santa Cruz that has experience working with both exotic cars and repairing fiberglass. During the repair process, I had all of the Starshield (paint protection film) removed and not replaced; instead, a "flex" agent was added to the paint during the painting process, and has worked very well.

Very nicely presented. Kudos on the detailed information, photos of the clams before they were repaired, and highlights of the minor imperfections. All inspire confidence this is a well maintained and honestly presented car. GLWTS.

Always on the west coast :(
The weather in the Bay Area is excellent right now, warm and sunny. What better way to celebrate a car like this than to fly out, drive it down the Pacific Coast Highway, and make a lifetime memory!

That's so tempting, but then I'd have to add a west coast flight and a few days roadtrip to the list of things approved by my better half lol. I am trying to find a closer option first but.....maybe I'll price flights soon too...

Everyone --

Thanks so much all of the kind words and support.

When I bought the Elise five years ago, my wife and I flew out to Atlanta to get it, then spent a week driving back. We had an absolute blast! We took the southern route (I-10) until we got in to Texas, then headed up to Santa Fe (where we spent a couple of days), and then home from there.

It was surprising how much stuff we were able to fit in the trunk (using duffle bags), and my wife was able to work on her laptop while I drove (her briefcase fit behind my seat).

We had no issues at all -- everything worked out just fine! It is a trip we will cherish forever.

As far as WMBL's suggestion -- I whole-heartedly agree; the Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1) is an absolutely beautiful drive, and the area around Santa Cruz in particular is so beautiful!
