Bendix Rear caliper 431174

Your 86 Turbo Esprit Rear caliper I believe is not the same as the Stevens diagrams above. Yours are the inboard brakes so pretty sure these Stevens parts are different in the rear.
My understanding is the rear caliper on Giugiaro (and 88 Stevens Bosch CIS USA cars) require a 45 degree turn to release the parking brake (allowing retraction).

At that point, you can push the piston back with a standard tool, turn back to 0 degrees, and put in your new pads,
