Well, here in NorCal Thunderhill, Sonoma (formerly Sears Point) and Laguna Seca are wonderful tracks. The good life of living in CA has suffered with over regulation, high taxes and energy costs, increasing crime and population congestion.

Virginia? Did you see the you tube video? Someone took an Evora GT to 7 or 8 tracks within 24 hr within Virginia, one track was in West Virginia.

Plus you have I81,I495, I64 and I95 all becoming racetracks with the speeds being pulled for lately.

I saw someone already mentioned central Texas (Austin-San Antonio area). There's year round racing and COTA and Harris Hill are nearby. Besides those, Eagle's Canyon, MSR Cresson, and Grand Sport Speedway, and MSR Houston are all just a couple hours away, giving you plenty of variety. There's also no state income tax in Texas, which is a retirement consideration.

New Member here. I agree with StressCraxx. Taxes and regulations were Killing my company. I was bought out and moved to NC, best move I've made. Have owned many cars, my favorite being a 356 roadster porotype ( SCCA in the late 60'S). I remember the exhilarating feeling from driving a friend's Europa. Looking at several S1 NA's

Or, get away from that corner of the state and go more inland. Roads improve, traffic improves, and more space for living. Doesn't fix the higher taxes and COL though.

Even still, it hits most of the basic requirements of the OP's desires:

• Great weather, check
• Variety of tracks, check
• Great tracks, check
• Year round track ability, check
• Great state to retire, eh.

Not many other states offer as many options.

Sadly, I'm in Idaho where I have the inverse of the list above.

This would work up north, but not in So Cal. I've often wondered why anyone would live more than 15-20 miles inland of the coast in So Cal. The weather is the same as Phoenix, but costs twice as much with more crowding and higher taxes. Phoenix is 6 hour drive from LA or a 45 minute <$100 flight. Of course many people including several friends figured this out and moved to Phoenix, driving up the cost there.

Now in SC we have plentiful water supply, including some of the best tasting tap water anywhere, still reasonable housing, beautiful climate. While personal property tax is insane here, insurance is HALF of what it was in AZ, AND sales tax on vehicles is capped at $500.

Also thinking of going to LOG 41 next September in WV. My wife may not want to attend, but that would just mean I can drop her at her parents house in Charleston, which is on the way.

I have done the cars and coffee once. I enjoyed it very much, just keep missing them.

If you have the means to live retire in So Cal, it is perhaps worth a mention. If you have to work for a living, it IS an armpit. So much traffic, crap roads, crap schools, everything is just crammed together, high taxes, and cost of living. We've autoxed out there for years while we lived in AZ and watched it slowly get worse and worse. Now if you could live in Malibu or up the coast maybe.....

New Jersey. You can live right on the property at NJMP, maybe trackside, and it's relatively convenient to other great venues such as Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, Summit Point, etc. Decent temperate climate and not far from other NE attractions like NYC and the beautiful seashore. Biggest downside is probably the NJ tax situation is no fun.

"New Jersey Motorsports Park is located on 500 acres immediately adjacent to the Millville Airport, an airport that was dedicated in 1941 as America’s First Defense Airport which played a key role in the country’s World War II military efforts.

The Millville Army Air Field opened as a gunnery school for fighter pilots for the Republic P-47 “Thunderbolt” in 1941.

New Jersey Motorsports Park embraced this rich history by naming its marquee 2.25-mile racetrack “Thunderbolt Raceway.” The 1.9-mile road course – Lightning Raceway – is named after the P-38 Lightning, a WWII fighter aircraft.

The Bore Sight Range is interesting to stop by, concrete structure still has all the bullet holes from sighting in the P47 guns. Didn't see any spent shells laying around but there are probably some buried 👨‍✈️.

People tend to think of California being over-crowded. Germany is about the same size as California with twice the number of people. I don't read of people leaving Germany in droves because of over-crowding.

News flash, the vast majority of California is empty. The bay area and LA areas are where the people are, and those areas are crowded, expensive and to a large degree match the stereotype.

Not trying to sell the state, there are obviously enough people here and we're being represented by weirdos (my opinion only), this may not be the best place to retire from a tax standpoint, but my goodness there's a lot of cool roads, beautiful scenery and good weather here... and as has been mentioned earlier great tracks.
