Today I visited Newport European in Costa Mesa, and checked out their Starlight Black demo car, which has LSS and they've just fitted the Stage II exhaust. IMO it sounds great and, at least from the outside, not too loud. They're only allowing customers with orders/deposits to test-drive the car, which I can understand (their reasoning is that the car will get enough use and that way, and doesn't need anymore), so I didn't get to drive it, but still it was great to check it out and take these photos ! Also there's a video clip with the sound of the exhaust.

Cheers !

An installer from Starshield was installing the clear plastic film on this Ardent Red car, it was interesting to watch, he said it's about a 3-hour job. I've got some closeups I'm attaching here as well. IMO the starshield looked very very good (hard to see) in the AR, and the SB, not as good (a bit more visible) in the SY.

This is the same car R&T reviewed, and the one I'd "stalked" back a month or more ago (! :D )

Big shout out to Darrell, who's the Service and Parts Manager at Newport European and is a very nice guy - that's him at the wheel !

The guys at Newport European did a really beautiful job of enlarging the hole in the diffuser for the Type II exhaust pipes, I am convinced that these guys are super-competent and intend to have my service done here, when I finally get my car.

why didn't they use the black plastic on all the fins? Wouldn't the black look better with black plastic instead of the "argent"? Am I insane? Sweet pics, but can someone please re-size them? Why do I have so many questions?

Starshield, anyone ? Still I think I'd prefer the line to the inevitable rock chips, but I guess that comes down to personal preference and we've all been down this dialectical path before blah-blah-blah.....

Last shot. And yes, if someone can instruct me on the way to resize these monsters I'd appreciate and so will you the next time I post some photos. Also I have that video clip, how do I post it ? Video Shack won't accept a .MOV format. Your assistance will be rewarded with the sweet, sweet sound of a Stage II exhaust revving it up !

Wow, that starshield is the best/most invisible clear bra I've ever seen. Awesome. Fortifies my decision to get it. Although having one already made the decision for me.:D Can't have a dark colored car without clear bra, ever.

Nice pics. Thanks for the posts.

I like the big images. Thanks - lot's of good ones of the CO.

If you email me the .mov file I can host it on my server. If it is larger than 20mb let me know and I'll set up an easier way for you to transfer it to my server.

Here's what I did.

From the posted photo's properties. I checked the pixel ratio of height to width and found it was precisely 3/4.

Then I estimated how wide I'd like to see it. In this instance, 500 pixels wide (down from 2048).

So I inserted the following code:

<img src="http://img39.exs.cx/img39/3130/DSCN0414.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="500" height="375">

And that worked in my test browser window.

And so it should work here as well. Let's see.

<img src="http://img39.exs.cx/img39/3130/DSCN0414.jpg" border="0" alt="" width="500" height="375">

Now, you or anyone else can do that with any of your other photos, just get the original file location from the properties of the jpeg.
