I have to admit that I didn't spend a ton of time searching the forum to see if this subject has been addressed before, so please bear w/me. I have noticed while removing my diffuser and inside the car where the driver's seat bolts to the rails, that several bolts have a blue colored strip across them. I am curious what this is and why. Anyone have any thoughts or insight? I bought the car used, so my initial concern is the use of salvage parts. Thanks for your help.

some bolts are painted so that you can tell if they have been removed. this is done often on body panels so that it is easy to tell if, for example, a quarter panel had been removed and replaced.
