I actually have both the key you could borrow and the BMW bolts (somewhere) if you'd like to just have them assuming I can find them. I previously ran the BMW bolts before switching over to studs there is nothing wrong with them other than they could use a fresh coat of paint. I'm located in Columbus Ohio so let me know where you are and if you still need to borrow the tool.

can anyone confirm part #?

also are these any longer bolts by chance? will be fitting 5mm spacers more than likely, and would prefer a longer bolt to go with it

Part number is correct. Good pricing and service at FCP Euro:

The normal set is listed as a 28mm bolt
The “compatible with 5-8mm” spacer set is listed as a 32mm bolt

If the lotus bolts are 19mm, would 28mm pose a problem (ie: too long, interfere with brakes, hit something, etc?)

Also, if 28–>32 is only 4mm longer bolt, why does it list it being compatible with a 5-8mm spacer? Just want to make sure it doesnt come short

The Elise/Exige bolts are 25mm, not 19mm. I used to run the 28mm bolts from Turner Motorsports in the rear without spacers, no issue. The Lotus bolts are barely long enough to begin with.

I had the 35mm bolts in the front with 6mm spacers, but would go with the 32mm option for 5mm spacers.

For a 12x1.5 bolt you need at least (1X)Dia. or 12mm of thread engagement equating to 8 full turns. This is why some bolt lengths work both with and without the use of spacers.
So if you're using aftermarket wheels and/or wheel spacers make sure your current bolts are engaged at a minimum of 12mm (8 turns).

That said, I work with aircraft and rule of thumb for aviation is 1.5(dia).

hmm ok, that makes more sense. I could have sworn i read on LT the stock bolts were 19mm

I went ahead and ordered 28mm bolts for my non-spacer wheels, and 32mm bolts for my 7.5mm spacer wheels

from my experience with e46 M3, in the rear the E-brake would pose issue with a longer bolt- front you might be able to get away with it, but there is a hub ring and speed sensor you have to be mindful of

Thanks for the tip on these! I've been running my OEM ones since 2005 with probably 15+ trackdays, probably long past time to swap them out. Just ordered the BMW ones from FCPeuro.com.

I notice eliseparts.com also carries the OEM ones, but the shipping to the US is as much as the bolts!

I just recently had the wheels off my 2008 for the first time and all of the stock bolts were seized. Each one was a fight and it took 5 spline adapter/tools to remove all the lugs, so we replaced them with the black BMW ones noted in this thread with no issues.

I do like that the Evora lugs separated the cone portion of the collar from the actual lug, instead of it being one piece so even if it seized you could still remove the wheel.
