Hello, trying to use the Fastworks Level 1 software. Purchased on Wed of this week 3/19/14

I keep on having connection issues with the Tactrix and the ECU.
I'm uploading a video and pictures, we'll see how shaky it comes out, but here's the synopsis:
1. Open software, login info is good
2. Tactrix connected to OBD port and computer (Tactrix turning colors)
3. Key is on
4. Update license, good
5. Update software, good
6. Connect ECU, good (can see the VIN in the lower left corner of monitor)
7. Read ECU, good (window pops up, scans, prompts to save file)
8. Save file, will not save file
9. Software states there is no connection

Somewhere between steps 7 and 8 the connection between the ECU and the computer stops.

I have tried two dozen times
I have removed the Fastworks software and reinstalled multiple times
I have downloaded the driver file from Tactrix multple times as well.

Can not get the tune file to save or keep the connection.

Follwing step 9, have to close the Fastwork software and re-open, in order to be able to replicate steps 6-8

What edition of windows are you using on your computer?

Try using an earlier version. Pretty sure you need windows 7 or earlier. Let me check back on my emails with BOE

Now I remember what it was. If you read step 8 note it says that there is a bug in the software. The file will not save in your location, but actually saves on the BOE server. Also do you already have the supplied tune from BOE?? If not, you have to wait for them to write one and email you and then you can procede.

I would contact boe and ask them about problem
I have, but being a Saturday, wasn't sure if I would get a response back, and thought maybe the community could help out.

That being said, I did hear back from Phil, and will give it another shot!

Its a new to me car, with a 300 kit and fastwork tune already installed...

Still having issues with the new software
I'm sure its user error...
Hoping I can connect with someone over the phone at BOE over the next couple of days.

The problem is that you were not authorized to access those files since you're not the original user. I'll need to switch the license over to you since you're the new owner... not a big deal...

Been on the dyno since early this AM. Will work on it later this weekend...

yeah hopefully I can get the licenses swapped over, so I can get the car registered and driven soon! no plates...
