Wondering if anyone has tried the BOE Surge tank?

I track my Elise and several mechanics / technicians believe my engine issue was caused by a leaning out situation due to fuel starvation. (from another threaded asking about forged pistons)

So has anyone tried this Surge tank? or a baffled fuel tank?

Thanks.

I have the surge tank as well and works great. Not to hard to install, the hardest part would be removing the fuel line from the hard line to the fuel rail. Can be a pain. Also don't think you can install it or if you can very difficultly with the clam on.

i've got one also, it's feeding 750cc injectors at 40 psi thru a mechanical fuel pressure regulator iirc.

I have the BOE surge tank and it was fine until a track day when I noted a lean out at high revs full throttle. I contacted Phil and he said that sometimes the internal hose fails at the hose clamps. He sent me a new hose and O ring to Australia. Very quick service and with no cost to me apart from a few minutes to fit the new parts. All is fine now. My car is a daily and has probably done about 30,000Km with the surge tank.

Happy with my BOE surge tank. Before the install, I could only use 1/4 of a full tank before risking the motor. Now, at least on Toyo 888's, I can go to the last bar on the fuel gauge. Second the comment about taking the clam off to do the install -- makes it infinitely easier.
