Bordeaux it is...

Just finalized my order. Bordeaux Red, standard interior, sports package. :) I'm getting pretty excited now!

I should be in the first shipment to Autostrada, (I hope) as I'm number five there.

Well, that answers one of the questions I pm'd you. I was wondering when Autostrada was going to start contacting people about ordering. I'm # 18 so I'll be a little while yet. But I have decided on LRG with the touring package, Biscuit interior and no hard top.

The photos of the one at LA really answered that question for me.
Nice. Very nice. Do you guys have firm agreements for MSRP?

hey there frayed---yes, most folks have MSRP in writing.

Both Autostrada in Austin and Gonzaba in San Antonio are doing MSRP deals. Autostrada list is at around 52. Gonzaba should be a good bit shorter.
Wow. 52. How many years does that equate to? I'm in pain.

Well, there's always hope that a number of folks will drop off once cars start arriving. But, if all 52 stayed on the list, that might very well put you at 9 months to a full year after the first cars hit the shores (late May-June)

Good choice.

I saw the Bordeaux Red Pearl car that Clyde showed off back in Georgia. It's not in the show, because it's a mule and not suitably finished for display. But Nick and Tony drove it in to the show and parked it in the garage next to the entrance to the auto show, and Clyde told me where it was, so I checked it out. By the way, Nick said that it handled great in the rain on the freeway on the way in.

Beautiful color! Unfortunately it was overcast, but the color still impresses. It's a little subtle, compared to red or yellow, but I'm tempted. However, the Saffron Yellow has captivated me, unless a light blue surfaces.

Another excellent choice. The photos don't really do it justice.

The green is quite dark under indoor lighting, but garnered a lot of attention nonetheless. In sunlight, I bet it will be quite striking. The biscuit interior contrasts nicely; to die for! Note that the seats do have grey strips on the edges (at least in the show car, but Lotus mentioned that some features were cobbled together for the show and may not represent the final version), but the overall look is great.
Been lurking for some time now… I went to the preview night at the LA Auto Show last week to check out the Elise. Just finalized my order for my Elise TODAY. :)
Bordeaux Red Pearl, Standard Interior, Sports Package. (Good Choice Cade…)
I should get mine in the first batch of cars as well.

It appears that Lotus will be at the Detroit Auto Show (even though they are not shown as one of the exibitors on the NAIAS page www.naias.com.)
I just confirmed with MAG today. They will have 2 US Spec Elise's in Detroit next week.

#6 at MAG in Columbus
Could someone please tell me what colors are "lifestyle" and demand extra cash?
lifestyle=$1200
chrome orange
krypton green
graphite grey
metallic=$600
black
bordeaux red
silver
titanium
bronze
magnetic blue
aubergine purple
racing green
nightfall blue
Free colors:

Ardent red
Saffron yellow

for those lucky enough (myself included) to want either red or yellow, we cand spend our $600-1200 on something else :)
I think the bordeaux red pearl is gorgeous on the Elise.
Anyone seen any good pic of that color?

z
I'm going Ardent red and putting the savings into more tires LOL!
Thanks, all!

Well, if only I was as smitten with the yellow or red as much as I am the Bordeaux, I could have saved some money... I need to get my personal tastes in line with my finances! :D
