After wanting an Elise/Exige for more than 10 years, I'm pleased to finally join the fold. The driving experience is everything I hoped it would be.

Besides the Lotus Stage 2 exhaust, I believe this car has no modifications whatsoever. I plan to keep the car stock. Less than 9000 miles on it!

I shipped the car from Florida. Some proper photos will come soon once I have a free weekend to detail the car and pull out my DSLR.

Thanks to @thebuzzard for sharing his Exige knowledge with me prior to purchase. I'm looking forward to getting to know the community in NorCal.

I think people are always going to love this first year Exige with the windups

Hope you put more miles on it than in the last 13 years

welcome, awesome color! whats the deal with the door panels, is the silver outer part stock? they look pretty awesome, but i'm confused because the door pull looks to be missing.

there are quite a few of us in the bay, i'm in the foothills by Cupertino. If you have it up and running by next Saturday, head out to Portola Valley C&C, there are usually a few of us there:

Think that is the non touring door panel, all plastic
*facepalm*
of course, duh. They actually look really nice in the photo, almost like brushed aluminum.

Congrats, nice looking Exige.

Looks like the tabs are broken on the driver's side switch panel, by the driver's left knee. Those panels are cheap to replace, or new tabs can be epoxied on that will last longer. I fixed my passenger side panel with new metal tabs and have not had a problem since.

I agree. I think the additional contrast looks really sharp against the orange. These are the non Touring pack door panels.

I should have noted that the panel was off temporarily in that pic -- the dealer was fixing an issue with the start button when I took that pic. It's fixed now. Some proper pics will come when I have time :smile2:

I wanted one with crank windows, so I'm especially glad I found this one. What other brand than Lotus would put so much care into designing an aluminum crank window handle with a hole to reduce weight? Just about every other car with crank windows has a cheap plastic piece -- as far as I know, this quality handle is pretty unique and represents the Lotus ethos.

Congrats! I am also from the bay area and also recently picked up an 06 Exige three weeks ago. Hope to meet some of you locals soon.

Believe it or not the cranks are heavier than the electric windows.
