Just thought I would spread the word.
It's September 13th.

You ARE the master over UNDERSELL, john.

These shows are outrageous. The one last fall (in Palos) was tremendous and the one there the previous year was completely off the hook.
ROWS and rows of Jags, Lotus, Austins, Astons, Rolls, MG, Jensens + Healys (together and sep), and a WHOLE bunch of Brit marques most have either forgotten or never heard of.

We should organize our own effort around this event.

It's also important to note that there is a gymkhana and rally on Saturday, September 12th being held the day before, in conjunction with the British Auto Festival.

It sounds like they would like it if you email them to say you'll be attending, but you can definitely just show up, pay, and drive.

I'm attending Saturday and Sunday, anyone else?

Can't really stay till 4p. Is leaving early cool, say 1;00ish ?

Would all the Elise/Exige(s) park together ?

I haven't attended before, but you can arrive and leave anytime you like. No problem. Registration is from 9a-12:30p. Prizes awarded at 3p. If you arrive after registration you just wouldn't be eligible for winning any best of class trophy is my guess. And perhaps you wouldn't get a prime parking spot? We'll see tomorrow.

There are supposed to be over 500 British cars and cycles. Sounds cool. Hope you can make it!

I doubt anyone would have a problem if you needed to leave early. Also, the lot is arranged by make, so all the Lotuses (both new and antique) will be parked together. My Elise will be there, and I suspect there will be other Elises/Exiges, as well. The Lotus Corps folks will probably decide how the Lotus section will be organized.

I always recommend this show to anyone who likes British cars - or just cars for that matter. It is amazing what people have tucked away in their garages - everything from ACs to Wolseleys.

....for those not going or those still thinking about it...

(Congrats to Todd (and Marg)--they took 5th in the Healy Rally Saturday.

I'll be posting the full coverage to the ML1 site later tonight (including the UNEDITED footage of Dave setting off his own alarm and them searching everywhere for his key/fob).
