ok, here is the situation. I have one of the new Elises on order and expect it in within the next two months. I am wanting to chase the local point series and I 'think' it will go to SS.

Does anyone know if I can run a AS car and bump it to SS or even a BS car bumped to SS just so I can earn points. I dont expect to hop in a S2000 or EVO that I have never driven and beat a seasoned driver in a Z06.

No. In some kinds of competitions, or depending on the supps of your local series, classes get bumped if participation is too small. But you can't bump yourself to a different class by choice. And I think it makes sense, there would be the opportunity for abuse. I would gladly take an AS STi or Evo to SS if it's raining.
