They're calling for clear and cool weather on Sunday. The Burtonsville Church of the Holy Donut gathering takes place every Sunday morning year round. During Spring/Summer/Fall the lot is often full with a couple hundred cars of all types, ferraris to hot rods to military vehicles.

This time of year maybe a dozen or so cars show up.

Why not a bunch of Lotus locals make it out there this Sunday? Overwhelm the handful of muscle cars that will be there, and kick off the driving season? Thrill the locals showing up at the little diner there for breakfast.

Under normal circumstances, folks start showing up around 8:30 am, grab coffee donut at the Dunkin Dnuts there, kick a few tires, general bench racing, and everybody is on the way home by 10 or 10:30.

In Burtonsville, MD, intersection of Rt 29 and 198, 'bout 10 miles south of Columbia on 29.

Great! Just remember to get there 'early,' 8:30 to 9:30. Folks generally leave around 10:30 am.

The whole purpose of the Church of the Holy Donut is an informal weekly, brief, car show that is over with by mid/late Sunday morning so everyone can get back to the family, or whatever, for the rest of the day.

Infernoflo, when did you live there? I grew up near there, spent plenty of time in "downtown" Burtonsville.
There is a 'downtown' in Burtonsville?

Good turn out today. 4 Lotus (3 Elise, 1 Exige S). Will be better when weather gets warmer… 38 degrees is cold for a car show.
It was good seeing everyone, the shop day at your house next weekend (weather permitting) appears to be shaping up to have a great turnout as well.

A few other interesting cars were there, a Ferrari 330, 430, and really, really nice Lambo Muira S. And a first generation Mazda RX7 with V8 conversion!
