I'm considering purchasing a used Elise (not sure which one yet) from southern California, but I'd have to get it to central Wisconsin. The problem is that we've got temps in the single digits and 18" of snow right now.
That would be a hell of a drive, and the last few hundred miles could be suicide. Since I won't be driving it any time soon, my wish would be to get it as close as possible to Wisconsin, and then put into temporary storage. (I would be there to meet it of course.)
Does anyone have ideas or alternatives on how to pull this off? My hope would be that with a flexible schedule and willingness to have it dropped off most anywhere in the upper midwest, maybe I could negotiate a better shipping price with one of the carriers.
