Hi folks,

Tried searching and that seems to be all over the place.

I have a stock 07 Exige S, are the various parts up to the task of handling Hoosiers or even full slicks or are there specific bits that need strengthening?

Reading around one gets the impression that these cars were built to their spec "and no more", ongoing concerns of suspension parts getting loose and control arms bending at the drop of a hat.

New here and learning, hoping to make my S a safe and fun backup car for the track. It is fun as it is but would be nice to put stickier stuff, just don't know if I only need to budget for wheels and rubber or other parts.

Thanks in advance.

I ran slicks. In case nobody mentions it, beef up the rear toe links.

Watch your launches, hop can cause damage. Always make sure your suspension bolts are properly torqued and use loctite where you are supposed to.

Are you running in SCCA? Stock class? Worried about being illegal?

Thanks, yes the next question was recommendations of "beefing them up".

This is just for track days no need to conform to any spec.

To be clear, does an Exige with the track pack need the RTDbrace or the DeltBrace?

The RTD link says "This brace is designed for non-Track Pack equipped cars, though it will work with either one."
The RTDbrace is stronger and has more durable joints than the OEM track pack toe brace.
