of using the Lotus rear brace chassis kit? Thanks.
I believe it is used to reinforce the rear toe link, which has been known to snap under heavy track use.

The stress on the toe links will increase if you're using stickier track-oriented tires (A048 or even slicks). I'm not sure that a user on AD07 street tires would really benefit from the brace, but if you're using stickier tires and pushing the car hard on a track, it'd probably be a good idea.

There's a European(?) supplied kit that involves putting plates (attached to the chassis) over the inboard mounts to put the bolts in double shear.

There's a guy here who replaced his toe links with shorter links which attached to welded-on flanges on the lower A-arm.

Sector 111 supplies a couple different kits which are lower cost.

I thought the track pack addressed this. I don't understand why they would include these sticky tires with an exige if they knew it would cause issues...

Oh well. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.
The track pack toe link brace is in double shear (which reduces shear stress on the bolt), but transfers some stress to the opposite side bolt/link (reducing some effectiveness of the "double" shear)... some aftermarket braces have a plate that attaches to the engine/transmission mount, effectively making the chassis take the stress more directly.
