Hey guys, I am looking for a form fitting Esprit cover for my SE. I have added a V8 spoiler so a V8 cover seems most closely related in size to my car. I would like it to have fleece or a soft lining and prefer it to be a dark color if possible. Anyone have any ideas where to look? And if you have one, pics if possible so I can see it.

My car came with a nice cover; with Lotus logo on front. Don't know it's history; but fits perfectly. I can put it on car and photo. Is that the kind of image you want?

That would be fantastic man! I have been searching, but just find the "standard" grey covers.

I am sure Lotus was selling cars cover for the V8. My 91 SE came with a gorgeous custom fitted a logo'd cover that was definitely a dealer item. Maybe JAE or SJS can get you one.

Thanks! I will check the usual suspects, I would love to see some pics so I can see if it is what I am looking for. Don't like spending money on stuff I am not sure is what I am looking for. I have a generic cover for a corvette, but it's flappy and big. It doesn't look "professional" to me.

I agree very pricey; that works out to $440 plus shipping from the UK.

I got mine for my V8 from The Lotus Forums Shop. Good quality material and fits pretty well. The mirror pockets might be sewn on a little too far forward because it sags a bit in the back. Not really that happy with their website name on the back either. If you asked them maybe they could leave that off. They asked me when I bought it which wing I had because they had different ones to fit different wing configurations.

I definitely like the cover Cyclops. $440 is a bit steep though in my opinion. And I would prefer it not having the TLF insignia out back. Just Lotus on the front. I may inquire with them to see if they still offer it. Thanks much. If anyone has another example and possible pricing, I would like to see what's available. Thanks!

They are a bit more expensive now than when I got mine. I checked my invoice and it was only £187. They get them from a company called Specialised Covers also in the UK so you could check them direct for more options too. Don't forget the duty fee.....I paid about $56 for that.

Yes! I know ALL about the duty fee and customs! Ordered a set of sills from SJ Sportscars years ago.... GULP! I thought they were inexpensive! Then I got the customs bill about 2 months ex post facto! Almost cost me more to ship and import them than the original 110quid each! :panic:

No! They don't inspect EVERYTHING! I just happened to be lucky enough to have them audit my shipment. :)

Looks great! Thanks for the pics! That's almost exactly what I have now. Is it three or 4 layers of fabric? I believe mine is 3, but it still lets dust in. Since the car is black, it's almost impossible to stop all of the dust. I'd love the cover to be black!
