Since that's such a small yet intricate piece it might make sense to just have them CF film dipped to match other pieces as close as possible.

Go big or go home. If its not real CF then its not worth the hassel in my opinion.

I would actually love to see these fins and also some Carbon Fiber replacement fins for the 2005 Elise trunk fins. I would be up for a group by for both or either.

Agreed. Fake CF would never touch my car. Honestly I like the shaved look that the Exige rear clam has, but CF would still be better over the plastic. I'd be interested in a set as long as the price is right, being such a small piece.

That's just the problem. It's not the size of the piece, it's the cost of tooling and production with CF, so I'm afraid the price will "go big". For that matter an alternative CF insert for that crescent indent wouldn't have to be just like the little OEM fins. It might be cool to have a CF bezel that holds some little red LED taillights.

Agreed, id never do a hydrodipped piece on my car, I asked gb composites and he said he is just too busy at the moment. Ill hit up hkfever or maybe see if a local guy I know would be interested.

You have to figure a bit costly even though the part is small. I am up for it still if we can get some others onboard. Hopefully HK is up for it.

Hkfever rocks! The CF ones will have the same fins as stock, right?

If someone made a mesh grill for this piece it would look good.
That would look terrible, its not even a functional grill.

Hence why the world is such a wonderful place, my friend. What is interesting and holds beauty varies so much from person to person.

Also, the plasticrap fins aren't functional, so who cares? :D
