I was curious about to know more about ceramic clutches b/c I read that they have longer life. So I did a search on google, "ceramic clutches". I found that aftermarket ceramic clutches are available for certain cars like the MINI. Here's an example:

I thought the Carrera GT was the only car that has it. Did I err somewhere? BTW are ceramic clutches different from ceramic composite clutches?

Moko:

The Esprit V8 uses a metallic clutch that seems to last no longer then 25K miles, no matter how you drive. We've sourced ceramic clutch discs from the Esprit clutch manufacturer in The UK at 1/3 the price and so far they are working MUCH better then stock. The ceramic clutch is sort of "on and off" with very little take up. No one has hit the magic mileage yet so we will see about durability.
