Hi,

Unfortunately it seems in my searches most charcoal canister delete instructions cover the newer charcoal canister in 06+ cars. All I could find was that apparently using a resistor on the plug on earlier cars still brings up CEL's over time.

Based on the diagram above I'm trying to work out how to do a delete while trying to avoid check engine codes.

Can I block off the tank breather pipe and throttle body
purge port and simply leave the solenoid valve connected electronically just vented to atmosphere?

The ECU can be flashed specifically to ignore it. An option to keep in mind. Unless your needing the space for something I probably wouldn't bother with it. It weighs like 1 pound.

But that picture shows a completely different engine, particulalry a return fuel line system and the throttle body is different. So I'm guessing this is for a Rover K motor? In that case you probably won't get an answers from this forum. Those that have K Elises/Exiges here in America won't much care about CEL's :)
