I have a small chip in my clam. I'm not sure how I'd reinforce the repair to begin with, but it's so small maybe is it not necessary?

I started to seal/touch it up before I thought to take a picture but the damage is obvious. It's right on the point of the lower lip.

I'm thinking I could just trim the clear bra away, fill it, sand it, and apply touch up paint.
