Does anyone have DIY instructions on how to go about cleaning the inter-cooler. I tried searching but didn't find anything.
How to remove.
what to use to clean
how to clean the inter-cooler.
etc

Thanks

I am going to get a set of catch cans but want to clean it before i install them.

Nothing fancy just brake cleaner or a similar degreaser and a soft cloth. Mild wash and water solution, also is another option. Make sure all the fins are nice and straight, too. Don't use anything or any type of cleaner that is caustic. And don't put anything inside.

I believe you can flush the inside with good old fashioned gasoline (do not smoke while performing this operation). This should remove the oily film which may have coated the inside of your cooler. Then set it out in the sun for a few hours so the gasoline residue fully evaporates before you re-install it. If your cooler has any plastic parts, be careful what you use to clean it, as some cleaners will cause plastic to craze (tiny little spider cracks).
