During a suspension rebuild, the classic "while you are in there" struck. I had a new ACT clutch assembly sitting on the shelf so with the rear suspension out, why not go the extra mile and upgrade the clutch. The car only has 50,000 km (30,000 miles) on it and I found that the pressure plate, disk and flywheel were in pretty good condition. But the release bearing was very dry and the diaphram spring had significant wear at the release bearing contact area. Perhaps the previous owner had the bad habit of resting his foot on the clutch. Has anyone seen this much wear on theirs? Side note, the pedal return spring is broken but the pedal does not sag at all. Comments most welcomed, thanks.

Nah thats completely normal.
Yup. And if you track the car, change that clutch whenever you are near it - they fall apart pretty fast. Next change, I'm going to try an Ogura all-metal for a giggle. I have one of these kicking around: ORC-309D-08T.
