No, my original clutch is fine at 34,000 miles, thank you!:D

But my other cars had clutch replacement (eventually) so I wondered what if my '05 Elise needed to be replaced, and what would be the cost. You see, I will be on a "fixed income" soon and I want to plan the expense. I've heard the clutch/labor cost is ASTRONOMICAL!!!!!!:eek:

Does anyone experience clutch replacement? Dealer cost? Independent shop? Aftermarket clutch? I'm afraid to call the dealer and have a heart attack with the part/labor cost. Please break it to me gently!

Figure around eight man hours at whatever shop rate you can find, plus materials.
