Got them at LotusGarage.com. I think they were selling at $3.80 a piece (I bought 2).

Mine snapped on my 05 shortly after buying it, the broken spring rebounded into the aluminum floor, and it sounded like a gun shot!

Replaced with a spring bought at a hardware store, kept extras on hand. Never broke again.

I've had good luck with a small zip tie looped through the hole on the clutch lever, then having the spring hooked to the zip tie loop instead thus avoiding the metal to metal contact. My spring is original from 2005 and have not broken yet.

Is this issue isolated to 05-06 cars? Have any 07+ cars had this issue? I learn of little things every day on this board! lol
First time ever heard of Lotus? How about Lucas (from the earlier Lotus cars)? This is a test rotfl

Noticed that mine is broken and probably has been for some time. It doesn't seem to affect how the car drives.

Any concern if I decide to never replace it? This is probably the second or third time mine has broken.

I found out my clutch pedal spring was broken the other day when I did a brake and clutch fluid flush on the car. It was all kinds of fun too when I went to bleed the clutch and the pedal just sat on the floor after I pushed it in to bleed the system out... Anyway, it reminded me of the good old days of doing this on cars I have had in the past that didn't have that spring on them.

after hearing a noisy irritating spring like rattle under the dash, I decided to feel underneath, and sure enough mine is broken as well. I seem to remember a gunshot sound also. Any difficulty in fitting the spring, before i assume the lotus position? I cant bring up a larger image of the lotusgarage diagram online.
