What'd they charge for the powder coat? Did you have to have the tires taken off or did they do all that?
Chris
i was charged $160 and yes i had to take the wheels to my local tire shop and have them take off then mounted and balanced the wheels.

Pop on a set of the black BMW wheel bolts to complete the transformation.

i actually like the contrast of the black wheels with the metal finish lugs, it matches the diffuser along with the whole CO, stain black and aluminum accents all over the elise.

Sounds good. BTW do your Lotus bolts have a better finish than mine?

The BMW bolts are just under a half ounce apiece lighter than the Lotus bolts..this comes from the difference in the heads...

Scott,
Check the direction of the tire rotation on the rears. They appear reversed.

BTW... Nice!

are you a lotus double O agent? damn good eye! i did that to the front and caught it before i installed them, but was too excited to notice the rears. i was in the middle of doing a dance or singing and jumping and didn't realize my own car was doing the moon walk(michael jackson manuever where he slides backwards, kinda like the direction my rear tires were going when i was test driving her after mounting the wheels, doh!). thanks a lot khamai, i'll have to buy you a beer when you get to cali. seriously.

Scott,

Actually I'll be down from NorCal and working in Torrance next Tues (see thread in Calif Region section). A bunch of us are trying to get together Tues evening. Place is still TBD, but there's talk of the Irvine area.

I'll be running at the GGLC/Club111 Track Day on Monday, so bring a spong & help be clean off the bugs! :D

Maybe you could join us & we can see your wheels in the flesh!

Cheers!

$40 a wheel, that's a deal. Man wish I were close to the place that did it.

Very durable assuming they stripped the clear.

Scott, very b*tchin'.

Now that you and Perry have CO with black wheels I'm gonna have to differentiate...
We should start a poll for what color Shinoo should get his wheels done in...

Let see...

CO
Black (Satin)
Black (Gloss)
Charcoal
White
Red
Blue
... the list goes on!!

Shinoo? Shinoo??? Are you listening??? :D :D
