Pry the case apart with your fingernails.
The plastic stap that is inside the case has a small loop that goes over a pin that is one one side of the case.
Lie the side of the case with the pin on a table, insert the loop over the pin, place the other half of the case on top of it, and snap it back together.

Also it is a good idea to replace the battery while you have the case apart.
