easily repairable. And get it repaired, or you will risk seeing it spread one day. Just my 2 cents, (adjusted for inflation and the elimination of the gold standard.)

Knowing every case is different, what would you expect the repair bill to be? Ballpark range. Trying to understanding if its $500-2k, or in the $2-5k range.

can you pull the clam yourself? Save big that way. I don't know about prices, i do my own usually w/my buddy, don't know about body shops really.

$500-2k range, easily (maybe even lower end) based on quotes I saw for various things while Elise shopping. Shop around; worst that happens is the quote is too high and you say no.

Depending on your experience, comfort level, and clam-transportation abilities it might be less scary in addition to cheaper for you to pull the clam yourself; that way you don't risk a shop trying to lift and/or mess with your car.
