Do I remember an old posts here about some sealant coming off inside the tank? I have a weird problem with an 07 Elise that could be explained by something intermittently clogging the FP inlet.
There is a filter sock on the fuel pump inlet with pretty good surface area. It's unlikely that trash would cause an intermittent problem. When those type filters plug they plug for good.
