cutting / shorten wiper stalk for flip screen

So I hear and see people shorten the wiper stalk so a flip screen could clear.

I took a quick look the talk while pushing the rubber boot aside.

Where or what exactly is the easiest thing to do?

I might be wrong: but cut and glue?

Just did this mod actually and it was much easier than anticipated ... just with a hack saw on the line and file smooth. Then you have to glue the remaining front and back pieces together as they are held by the end cap you just cut off. I suggest using some super glue and some zip ties and letting it sit for a few hours. Then I used the butt cap from a composite hockey stick and shaved it down to size and glued it in place. With that setup it just clears the stalk when the screen opens ... will try and post some pics later ... have fun!
