I noticed earlier this week that all of the heater control knobs get ultra hot after about 30 minutes of driving my 2002. Granted, I was driving it in 100F temperatures with the A/C on but I wouldn't expect any of the dash controls to get super hot. The shifter knob got warm too but not as hot as the dash knobs. Is this normal or do I have some kind of short? Anyone else experience this?

Thanks

The shifter can get very warm as it is heated by the oil and radiator lines running through the tunnel. I've never experienced "hot" heater control knobs.
