I had my car worked on there. I highly recommend them. Amazing work. The paint he uses looks better than the factory paint. Julio is really good at what he does. The fact he has an Exige is a bit of a bonus too. He really appreciates these cars. Check out some of his fiberglass work if you are there as well.
It is paint. It looks pretty sweet in person. Flat black stripes on black. He is really good at this stuff. I also agree everyone that works with him are also good. He has some other custom projects going on with other Lotus right now that will look great when it comes out.
I had the same new starshield stuff put on my car while there and it is a lot better than stock starshield.
I was tapped from behind while stopped in city street traffic. The car behind me was stopped too and then decided he needed to move forward. I really have no idea what he was thinking. Nothing serious, but it put enough cracks in the rear clam that I had the whole thing replaced.
Julio has my old rear clam sitting against the back wall. It is the white one along with all the other Lotus parts.
I think they are Magicians from what I hear. I think those strips are sick ! Hey Larry, what other stripes are u talking about? Do u mean like a different pattern?
The product that they put on my car to replace the factory StarShield is "Venture Shield."
Much less obvious, nice product!
Details:
VentureShield Paint Protection Film which is an indestructible eight mil thick (.008") clear Urethane film. The VentureShield protective film is the toughest film on the market today, and requires no special care or maintenance.
VentureShield is optically clear and guaranteed for life against yellowing or cracking due to UV exposure. The protection remains invisible, allowing the manufacturer's aesthetics to shine through unaffected.
The film is approved by major Automotive Manufacturers such as Ferrari, GM, Ford and Nissan to withstand freezing temperatures, extreme heat, acidic oils and gasoline, along with attacks by stones and other abrasive elements.
Here is a picture of my rear end from a recent drive. The rear clam is new and painted by Dentworks. If you look closely you can see the new Ventureshield.
Where was the damage? I am assuming it was in the front?
