Dimmit in Florida allocations

For anyone that is interested I just got off the phone with my salesman and he says they are allocated 66 cars by the end of the year. He also said that they could be getting more depending on how fast Lotus ramps up production. Of course they are supposedly the third largest Lotus dealership. He also said that a company contacted them about a t-top type top that was going to cost 7-8k. He said that was outrageous and they did not even contact said company for more info.

This should mean that I get my car in JULY!!! *crossing fingers* still early enough to enjoy the good weather!!!! Hopefully more people will drop off the list.... I know a good sniper! :)

bank will loan me money at 4.95 %, getting closer....
now insurance and I am there!!!

anyone want a 21 ft Regal bowrider boat with a new motor? can't tow it with the Elise. lol

That's high. Go to Costco's website or capital one's website.

Current rates are 3.6% on a 36 month, 3.94/60, 4.74/72.

If you're not a costco member, it's only $50 to sign up.
hey Jeff what number are you?

im spos to 14ish but was spos to move up due to drop offs.

I started out at about 18 I think... then a few months ago my salesman told me I was 15... so I don't know where I am right now but even at 15 I *SHOULD* get my car in July. Atleast they are doing it right there and moving us up rather then selling the spots that are vacated. Is this what you are hearing too? What color and options did you get?

me- changed from CO to Ardent Red with Touring... and going to get gullwing prob from sector 111 *IF* they sell it to me.

Ouch, I'm #24 at Palm Beach Motor cars and was told Novemeber-December.

This was almost a month ago, maybe they have updated allotment info.

I really would like to lock in the auto-loan rate now since they are going to rise pretty soon.

Maybe they are keeping the first couple cars for themselves? :)
I don't know how big Palm Beach Motors is, but they say allotments are based on how big/past sales, and Dimmit is apparently the 3rd largest.
In another thread they said that Lotus advised ALL dealerships had been given allotment numbers. So I called my dealer a few days ago.
I was told there is a slim chance *MY* car might not come in till Aug but at 66 cars between now and Dec.... my math says...

May 2-3 cars (dealer car plus a few)
June 5-6 cars
July 8-9 cars (the whole ramping up thing)

so minus the dealer car that should be 14-18 cars by July. Of course these are just best guesses but..... I might just squeeze in there, I need one or two more people to drop off!!!

that would leave Aug sep oct nov and dec with 10 cars each to make 66

I was told a rate of 4.95 for 70 months, if my FICA score breaks 720 by the time my car comes I can get 3.95%

For an unsecured loan?!? How can they do that?!

It's non unsecured, the car is collateral.

Go to bankrate.com to find out the best rates in your area or if you go to Lendingtree.com- they submit your loan to 4 differant banks just be careful, some of the banks lend to anybody if they are willing to pay 11% interest.

I lucked out, I used to work for a credit union and have a home equity loan I got from them at 1% under prime, and the interest is tax deductable. I plan on paying off the car in about 2 or 3 years, so I dont care if interest rates go up a few points if the new year or so, since the amount I am saving now would be offset by a rate increase later.

I think Palm Beach is getting 50 cars a year. I thik they are only getting a few cars a month for the first few months, and then more as production ramps up. I was hoping the first 10 would come with the demo, but it doesnt look like that is going to happen. At #7, I am expecting late June or early July delivery.
