Dont know how you do it here at the lotus forums, but I always liked posting DIY's on volkswagen forums when I had my gti so figured I'd do it here now that I have a lotus.

Tools Required

Polishing:
Sand Paper: 200,500,1000,2000 grit
WD40 or soapy water(for wet sand once you get to 1000 grit)
Polish: Very large tub of Mothers brand metal polish
A bunch of old shirts or soft cotton rags(something you dont mind ruining)
Power sander (unfortunately for me I didnt find mine til I was done)
Painting:
2 Cans Self-etching primer
2-3 Cans Krylon Satin Spray Paint

Damn, looks nice, how many hours did that take you?
Thanks, I polished a ton of engine components on my last engine, so literally 1 week after getting the lotus i decided it was time to get back to it.

All in all maybe 5 hours from removal to re-installation. I should have bought a proper power sander :wallbang:
