Seen in the Goodwood pits at the Mission Motorsport Invitational Trophy. Something looks different about these, even more so than the normal late Elise headlights. Is it just the view from above?

khamai - I realize that the 2011-on Elise has different lights, but from this view they didn't appear to be integrated into the crease on top of the fenders as normal.

yellow99s - I think that you may be right that perhaps the camera lens distorted the view, but I didn't think it would be that much.

Does someone else have another shot of the Elise S3 in plan view?

I'm noticing things like the motor cover and the fact that it's RHD. I'm guessing that's one of the Rover motors, right? I also think it's a bit of an optical illusion that the headlights look so far forward but that could just be how the look in the redesign. Not sure I'm a fan yet but also definitely not a hater.

I thought that all of the cars from ~2004 forward were Toyota powered, as only the early S2's had Rover motors. Isn't this the case?

Here's another plan view of an S3, this one from Lotus:

I guess that it's not an illusion, as the shape is markedly different than the S2 cars.
