I am getting my car back this weekend, and going to drive it around 800 miles home. If a catch can in necessary, the car is going to be drove home without one. I will put one on when I get home, if need be.

"Necessary" is probably not the right word; after all, Lotus didn't put catch cans on the Exige S. "A really good idea" is more like it. The amount of blowby is a function of boost and rpm, so if you're worried just take it easy until you install the cans.

I dont have catch cans. Have had the vf2 for about 6 months. Took off intercooler last week. A thick oil coating on inside of pipework. Will be adding catch cans. I dont think it does any damage not to have, you just have to clean everything once a year or intercooler performance will be affected.

You will be fine. Just drive it home then look at the back of your car. If covered with oil then you need a catch can. :)

Mine is much cleaner with it. Just make sure to check them and your oil level if you are getting blow by.
