Nope, the 111R is only for Europe and the rest of the world. Since Lotus USA only offers just one version of the Elise they firgured there's no reason to call it a 111R of a 111S like overseas.

I agree, but it begs the question- what happens when Lotus releases an upgraded engine option to keep sales up in 2 years? I guess it could be an Elise S.
