Since driveway approach angles are a concern for all of us, I thought I'd start this thread to share our experiences with this to give new owners an idea of what to expect.
My previous sports car was a 1991 MR2, lowered (~1"), and with a fibreglass front lip (Aeroware, for you MR2 folks). With this setup, I would consistently scrape, usually lightly, on the driveway at my house regardless of what angle I took. Most other driveways could be taken with no scraping (when a slow 45 degree approach strategy was used). The Elise is handling the same driveways much better than the MR2 did (no scraping).
