Aside from the obvious issue of dirt and debris incursion, anyone know of a reason one should not drive a short distance, at city speeds, with the rear under panel removed?

To be clear, which panel are you talking about?

The diffuser? No problem.

i dont really foresee any problem with doing it for a short distance.

The bigger question is why>?

The shear panel is clearly labeled as vital. The undertray and diffuser, no issues.

I took mine off and drove around to help isolate a rattle.
Kind of a tangent but this seriously isn't easy to do. I spent the last week making my car rattle free and things resonate in such a way that the rattles sound as if they're coming from another part of the car.

I took them off to see if they were the source of the rattle. The rattle continued even after removing them. So I continue to look elsewhere.
