They are probably clearing them out for the next gen star spec. It has been available in Japan since the spring time. The good news is the next gen has stock sizes for the elige, so you don't have to get stuck with the too tall 205/50-16.

It would be great if they have 195/50-16.

Still no 195/50?
Sorry, I was talking about fitting our wheel well. The 205/50-16 rubs, but I've run R1R 205/45-16 on the front even on the track without rubbing. I would much rather run star specs and pretty soon we will be able to without rubbing.

What would you run in the rear? 235/40/17?

Can 245/40/17 fit on a 7.5 rear?

it'll probably have a bit more sidewall spill, but it should 'fit'... i personally wouldn't put anything wider than that on a 7.5

i really wish they offered these in a 235/245 width for 16's

245/40r17 is a nice size for the rears on LSS and looks good. 205/50r16 is also my preferred size on front for street as it looks much nicers filling the wheel well but it is more prone to a little rubbing though... I would NOT recommend that size for track or autocross (especially if you have base suspension because you'll have too much rubbing). For track or autocross lots of people run 205/45r16 on front. Some people manage to squeeze 225/40r16.
