I am 71 on the waiting list at Star in Houston, so I wasn't expecting an Elise any time soon. WRONG! I got a call from Wally yesterday. He had a customer back out on a car which is configured almost as I would have ordered it. The car is already at the dealership. Now, Wally could have offered it anybody at a markup, but he didn't. He went up his waiting list offering it at MSRP. Fortunately, nobody in line in front of me wanted it! WooHoo!!! As soon as I can get to Houston, it will be mine. It is magnetic blue with touring and hardtop. It has black leather and I probably would have ordered biscuit. No big deal.

I cannot say enough about Wally and Star. A real class act!

Now I need to go make some room in the garage!

They actually waded through the list to get to your waiting #71 when it would have been easier for them to just park it on the showroom for added markup.. that's awesome.

Try not to shed a grateful tear when you pick up the keys. Hell, I would.

That is great and amazing. I am very happy for you. I wish more dealers ( /cough/ LOA /cough/ ) felt the same way about customer service.

Sadly, I don't think I can get to Houston for another 2 weeks. It's funny, a few days ago I was content to wait another 6 or 9 months for an Elise. Now, waiting a week or two is driving me crazy!:crazyeyes

Im number 18 in line at the Collection in FL and got a message on my machine at noon on 11/3...just said to please call about my Elise. I work nights so I was asleep when he called...tried to return the call at 4pm the same day but had to leave a message. By 10AM the next day, when I finally got through to my salesman, he said they had a couple of cars for sale and they had called everyone on the list but they are sold already. I was too heartbroken to ask what color combo's they were. But at least they called the peeps on the list.
