So I am looking at the connector.

Figured out how to remove it, pull the retention tab thingie. Cover snaps off. Got it. Very short service loop on the harness makes dealing with the connector more difficult.

A large number of wires. How do I know which pin is which number? Does anyone have a diagram?

Thanks

Once you have the connectors off the ECU, remove the 3 nuts that hold the ECU in place, and pull the ECU from the vehicle. With a good light, you'll be able to see little numbers in the plastic on the connectors on the ECU side, those are the pin numbers.

At least I remember seeing the numbers on one side or the other, but I can't possibly imagine how I would have seen them on the harness side, due to the short service loop you mentioned.

Randy, email me and I will send you the pin diagram; I'd post it but it is in excel and I can't get the pin layout to format correctly. Also, I recommend double-checking pin function against the service manual.

have schematic, will scan

Randy,

I have a paper copy of the schematic that I can contribute if the pdf of the same thing is difficult to read. I confirmed portions to charliex already and can do the same here if needed.

If others want the same information, I can high resolution scan and add here.

Hi Randy,
How do you get the cover off the wire harness connector after you remove it from the ECU?
