First of all, I want to say sorry for all of the threads. If I am being excessive, please, tell me :). I am trying to separate issues out into separate threads. I got the dump back from a 2008 exige s240. It only has like 650 miles on it and I see a couple things that might be a little concerning. The document is in PDF form, so allow me to relay it here to the forums:

Last 0-100 KM/HR 6.9

Total Running Time 33:55:23
Standing Starts: 1

Ok so it looks like its def been wound up a few times before the end of break in, with a standing start. Isn't that pretty much a launch? And a big nono? It looks like everything else checks out to me, at least from what I've read and searched on the forums.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't sweat it, but make sure no warranties are void.
Some guys believe break in is hammering the cars to lose them up. Not sure this is appropriate, but there's some reasoning behind it.
I also believe most car manufacturers get the motors tested by doing high rpm runs inside and outside the chasis, but in short bursts to make sure everything is well put together.

Well.. it shows 0:0:00 for 80-100% throttle. And I don't understand how there can be a standing start with the fastest 0-60 at 6.9.

Could be that the guy just sucked at driving and accidentally revved high and dumped the clutch?

(unless in reads at the throttle body which doesn't open all the way??)

Yea, it could have just been an accident with the clutch...I know I've done something similar in a GT3 RS w/ carbon fiber clutch before lol.

If I may so bold as to ask, how much did the dump cost you? My local Lotus service center charges $180USD and states that it will take 2 hours to complete.

I am interested in buying the car, so they gave it to me for free

I got charged one hour labor for mine a little while back, paid the $120.

Presumably if he hasn't yet bought the car, he wouldn't be paying for a dump.

They charged me $180 to inspect my camshafts and rockers. 1.5 hours. (Which I had already done myself.. but better safe than sorry right?)

Definitely. I wonder if they will try to charge me for it if I want to buy it.
