Please leave the 'Edit' function for the users that reply to this forum. People make mistakes in spelling, grammar, judgement or may withdraw a comment they made regarding a subject or comment made. Delete the 'reason why' who cares?

Please leave the 'Edit' selection on for those who make a post to this forum and not 'cut' it off after 30 minutes or one day.

I'm sure others feel the same.

Wish whole life had an edit button.

But it don't, and won't :/ Can't change that, unless you're a Time Lord.

But the Lords of the Forum have the power.....

For any 'new comers' here check out 'The Lotus Forums' in the UK, they are our fellow brothers across the pond.

Great site and great reads. One of my fav's is 'Lefty, the worlds most traveled Esprit.' If you want to travel the world it starts here.
Let the journey begin...

Please keep the edit! Spellchecker on phones does some funny stuff!
Fully agree, sometimes my BlackBerry posts look like an alien language. Additionally I have done later edits to add photos after I have access to them from another computer.

Have you ever read a series of posts that don't make any sense because somewhere in the series, a poster radically edited their post? I have...that's why edit gets disabled at some time after the original post.

YOU wouldn't, but I'm sure you can imagine others editing their posts (days, months or even years later) to make themselves look more intelligent, to sidestep criticism, reverse mistakes or even just for spite. Asking for a particular edit-enabled time frame seems a lot more likely to succeed than asking for edit to be always on.

Members can edit their own posts for up to 30 days, no one got rid of the edit. We ask for a reason because it helps us keep a record of any changes. That's all

Who said we were losing the edit function? :scratchhead:

30 days is more than enough to be able to edit a thread/post. If you guys need something edited after that, either PM a mod or report the post and tell us what you need changed.
