Hi All, I am wondering if anyone can help with a problem I have with my 1991 Elan M100.
The engine will stall every time a press the clutch. I am having to rev at the same time just to be able to drive and change gear.
I have ordered a new speed sensor as this was mentioned as a possible cause. Does anyone have any experience of this problem and any other possible solutions?

CEL?

stall as in suddenly die dead, or stall like sputter?

Otherwise run 'perfect'?

It is a cable clutch, and I do not think there is any kind of switch on it.

Weird outlier thought, engine ground?

known issues are cam angle sensor and throttle position sensor, both old by now. TPS is a Lotus part, some weird thing with Isuzu, unless someone found a cross. Hated paying for a 12 dollar sensor in a 300 dollar box....
