I am a former Elise owner that is looking to buy an Exige for track purposes. I plan to purchase a 4 post lift in my garage and store the Exige on the lift.

I want to make sure that the tracks on the lift I purchase are not too wide to accomodate the Exige. I recall being able to roll down the passenger window when seated in the driver's seat. The lifts I have looked at have pre-drilled mounting holes for the tracks. I am sure I could drill new holes if the tracks needed to be moved closer, but I would prefer not to have to do that.

If an Elise/Exige owner could measure (and post here) the distance between the inside of their wheels (ie. the width between the inside of the wheels), I would really appreciate it.

I measure roughly 50" inside-to-inside of the front tires. If there is any vertical lip on the ramps, you probably wouldn't want to be any wider than 48" between them.

PS - charliex cut in line!!!
