HI All,
Sometime ago on one of the boards someone had asked about Lotus Elise production figures. I've taken the liberty of listing the production figures taken from the book: Elise Rebirth of the True Lotus by Alastair Clements. PLEASE NOTE: 2002 figures only go to the end of JULY 2002.

These figures represent production of ALL types of Elise (incl. Exige, 340R, GT1

1996 - 432, 1997 - 2143, 1998 - 3033, 1999 - 3180, 2000 - 2639, 2001 - 1984, 2002 - 1335(July '02)

Wow! That means the US is getting more cars than were even made some years. That's a major production upgrade! How is Lotus pulling this off?

They can do it because the Vauxhall VX220 that was built at the Lotus factory on a separate line by Lotus for Vauxhall isn't going to be built there anymore. I think they also expanded production facilities in the not too distant past as well. Shouldn't be a problem.
