I am in the process of acquiring a 97 Elise S1 and what curious what wheels it had and what other options were offered. I found this great resource wiki SELOC: S1 Wheel Options - TechWiki

Thats pretty much the range of wheels available for a S1 Elise (unusual offset / PCD) . You could add Braid to the list.
Some of those listed will no longer be available new, even used they can get pricey, due to rareness.

The other thing is style Vs weight. Many feel one of the best S1 wheel design was the 'Victory' 5 spokes fitted to the Sport 160 & some Sport 190s... But they are heavy. Wheres the original 340R wheels are super light.

Personally I've got a set of forged TMRs... classic 5 spokes, super light, similar style to the S2 '240R' wheels which I also have for my Exige. Similar to the TMRs, better VFM but not as light are the cast Rota Slip 5 spokes.

Do you have pics of your car with these TMRs?
HPE Automotive in the UK makes hubs that are drilled for 4x100 pcd so you can run s2 wheels.

the GOAT wheels are the magnesium Speedline Corse 5 spoke wheels. But they can’t be had unless you’re super lucky to find some second hand.
Revolution Wheels in the UK are finally getting caught back up with their wheel production.

I just received a set of their CR10 wheels in Exige S1 specifications: 16x7" front and 17x8.5" rear. Still waiting on tyres to be delivered, but should have them in the next few days.

Yes, Spitfire Engineering make those multi PCD S1 hubs, however you'll still have the offset to consider, as S1 Vs S2 are very different. Plus you have to add new brake discs, probably press-in new bearings whilst you're there etc... Also S1 Elise are 15/16", not 16/17" like S2.

If I was going to S2 wheels on a S1, I'd probably just change to S2 uprights with the more modern & robust bearing packs. You can retain the S1 wishbones.

Yes, good points - I have the GT uprights so wasn’t even thinking about that! Depending on the tire you run, it’s also worth noting that with 16/17” wheels there can be some rubbing while moving to full lock.

@M!key , what dealer did you buy your CR10s from? I’ve reached out to a few folks, but only one responded.

@AKING I bought them directly from Revolution Wheels in the UK (in Exige S1 sizes: 16x7 and 17x8.5)

I just had them mounted today with Nankang NS-2R tyres in 195/45/16 and 235/40/17. No rubbing issues at all.

and my Rota Slip S1 (track) wheels in Gunmetal gray on Toyo R888 tyres:

I love the looks of the Rotas. Are you running any spacers with them?

No spacers on either set of wheels.

FYI- Revolution Wheels posted an update saying they will not be offering the CR10 wheels in Elise S1 sizes (15/16) but they will continue to stock them in Exige S1 sizes (16/17).

They will be releasing a new design, the TC5, next month in Elise S1 sizes.

@M!key , the revolutions look great! I reached out to them directly also. They said the TC5 was the only option at the moment.
