Thank you Bill Strohm!
Pretty obvious that the guy in the F40 can't drive. He's really good on the straights though. ;)

Don't get your hopes up, assuming equal drivers, a GT3 will leave an Elise in the dust on all but the tightest circuits.
what S1 is that? excellent driver. Way better than that idiot in the motorsport exige S1 driving behind a stock C5 corvette. He couldn't even pass that idiot

No Exige stands a chance against a C5 Corvette when there are straights as long as the one in the video in question.

The new C6 is even faster.

On a tight course the Corvette isn't going to win.
Did I see that correctly that the passenger wasn't wearing a helmet???

It was pretty clear that the GT3 and the F40 were both faster cars in the straights but that both owners were slowing down more in the turns, either for safety reasons or because they weren't as familiar with their cars.

The Elise driver was no champ though, I watched the video with my wife and at one point said "Oh he's off line now and cut that corner too early" which was immediately followed by him squealing his tires trying to hold the turn. This was after he'd gotten out in front of both cars and I suspect was then trying to prevent one of them from passing him.

Videos like this are interesting to watch, but since these aren't competitive events and we have no frame of reference you can't really place much value on them other than for entertainment purposes.
That was some slick move he put on the F40...

Seriously, there is enough poor driving by all involved in that video to make a full day lesson of what not to do on a track day...

I agree the guys in the F40 and GT 3 can't drive. Any of those cars would leave an Elise in the dust with a proper driver behind the wheel.

I cannot believe my eyes. I have driven that track!!!! That track is called circuit LeLuc. It is in the south of France in a town called Gonfaron. I have driven that track for 2 days in a real F1 car. Circuit Le Luc is the old AGS F1 teams private test track located on their property. BTW that track is much more exciting in an F1 car.
