Can anyone recommend a good engine builder in Houston. I have an 05 elise fresh out of warrany with a motor with metal in the oil pan. I will, at the least, need to rebuild my engine, at worst build a new engine. Quality is my first priority. I'm looking for someone who can put together a motor with some upgraded components (valve springs, maybe others, whatever will help to avoid future issues with durability, especially with forced induction). I would also like someone that could install a supercharger kit if I decide to go that route. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear about the engine.

You might check with LT member choi0706. He's in your area and has done some SC installs. Unsure if he does Engine rebuilds.

Do you mind sharing more? what in the engine decided to quit on you? Any pictures? How big were the metal pieces and how many were there? Sorry, but I'm in the mood for some 2ZZ-GE porn.

If choi0706 doesn't do engine builds, try checking with the newcelica.org folks too.

Good luck with the rebuild.

I would ask Boosted2.0 or LilRocket from newcelica.org. If you wanted to go non-local maybe give the guys at monkeywrenchracing a call.

You might try engine logics. They fully built a guy I knows STi motor and I think it makes about 500HP on their conservitive dyno. A ride in his car changed my perception of fast. The engine seems to peg the tach as quickly in gear as it would in neutral.

Most of the tuner croud thinks they do good engine builds. I think they are a bit spendy. I wouldent have them tune my car for reasons I wont get into here, though.

No brainer, contact Jay. He is currently working on my engine and has installed Superchargers (mine among others) as well as Intercoolers. Jay owns an Elise.
